In order to legally operate dental x-ray equipment and perform dental radiologic procedures in the state of Arizona, a dental assistant must hold a current Arizona Board-approved certificate in radiology. All private postsecondary schools in Arizona are required to be licensed by the Arizona Department for Private Postsecondary Education. The licensing process is very stringent and the rules are strictly enforced. You cannot legally operate a school in the State of Arizona, without the program being approved.

13 week programs are designed to focus on hand-on training. This allows them to provide you with the skills actually needed in a dental office setting, such as: chairside assisting, taking x-rays and impressions, performing coronal polishes, and utilizing Dentrix Software. The Dental Assisting National Board regulates dental assistant in all 50 states. Each state has different requirements.
